HAVE FACTORY NAVIGATION !!!  and you must be on one of the software levels listed below.  Go to settings, then general and check your software version and map version taek a pic of this screen and send it to me to check before you buy.  This will NOT ADD NAV!!!! NO NAV !!!!  if you have factory nav see my other listing.  Make sure you provide vin number with payment or order will be DELAYED until we get this from you.  If your unit HAS factory NAV this listing is NOT for you.  You need a different item of mine instead.  ASK FIRST! don't screw up and order the wrong thing.

YOU WILL BE UPGRADED TO NEWEST AND LATEST VERSION 3.4 WHICH HAS NOT NOR WILL IT BE RELEASED FOR OLDER SYNC 3 UNITS WHICH HAVE THE ABOVE LISTED SOFTWARE, THIS IS THE SAME SOFTWARE THAT IS EXCLUSIVE TO NEWER 2021 AND UP VEHICLES WITH NEWER APIM HARDWARE.
NOW YOU CAN HAVE IT TOO!  AS WITH ANY UPDATE UPGRADE THERE IS RISK!!! BUYER BEWARE, TECH IS TECH, EVEN THOUGH THIS IS A SIMPLE USB INSTALLATION, PLUG AND PLAY, I STILL RECOMMEND YOU ARE AT LEAST SOMEWHAT TECH SAVY.  WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR BRICKED APIM IF YOU SCREW UP, LIKE LET YOUR BATTERY DIE DURING INSTALLATION ETC.  If your vehicle is under warranty still you might not want to update, that is your decision, as ford does not support alternations or modifications to your sync system.  It is not a big deal for most that understand this, but I have to disclose this, don't expect them to fix something you modified, if you bring your vehicle in for service after this modification make sure you tell them not to touch your sync3 apim, or they could mess it up in which case you would have to re-install.  We do fix apims.
PICTURES SHOW BLUE FORD THEME ON A NAVIGATION UNIT, THIS LISTING IS FOR NON NAV units ONLY, YOU WILL NOT HAVE THE MAPS OR THE NAV BUTTON ON THE BOTTOM after you install this package.  If you have NAVIGATION ask for the correct item number for your system.
If you have a 2016 model vehicle it will have come from the factory with a much OLDER and now OUTDATED and somewhat incompatible USB HUB, with usb2.0 technology, sometimes these hubs will NOT read the NEWER drives we send out which are usb3.0 drives, if that is the case you will need to find yourself an older 2.0 usb drive of the appropriate size, and transfer the files to it first, then use your drive to install, OR better yet just buy yourself the new usb hub, which you should have anyway, and we do sell them, see my other items for sale or email for a link!!! its faster and compatible with newer usb devices and phones, and more importantly the 3.4 update, and has much much faster file data transfer rates.  Make sure you do a master reset of your system before installation of anything.
If you have a Lincoln vehicle you will get the brown/beige Lincoln theme, if you have a Ford vehicle you will get the bluish theme.
