Original circa 1969 poster featuring Bob Dylan from his August 31, 1969 appearance at the Isle of Wight Festival; issued by the London Evening News.
The poster was issued in the London newspaper shortly after the festival, celebrating Dylan's first appearance in England since his historic 1966 tour with The Band.
The 50+ year old poster measures 20 x 28 inches and shows multiple visible paper edge tears with paper loss to each corner edge; folded in quarters with additional faint fold remnants. Roughly 2 inches have been trimmed from the bottom, which originally had the newspaper print information. A scan of a fully intact version has been provided (see scan 7), simply as reference, to show what has been removed. Nevertheless, even in this condition, the poster remains a desirable hard-to-find Dylan collectible, with most of its image area, outside of its extreme corner edges, still intact. Most of the border / corner edge defects can be matted out for an appealing display, if desired. The poster is printed on a newsprint type newspaper stock. The reverse is blank; clean of any handwritten or printed notations with a clear tape remnant at its extreme top edge.
