Description
Offering avintage and rare AMERICAN Dynamic Microphone
manufactured in Pasadena California.
This is the military version (M2/U type)
or the better known D4T designation, also nicknamed the "Salt Shaker". It was introduced around 1939 with a frequency range is given as 60-7500 Hz. The public versions had a brushed aluminum finish, but the exterior on this one has the
Army green paint scheme
with a sharp riveted metal maker's badge. The paint has some nicks and scrapes showing it was actually field used, but still
provides super hot and clean output
from it's original dynamic element.
They certainly were robust builds made to last and hold up under wildly rigorous conditions and environments. Can be either hand-held or threaded onto a desk or floor stand, and is fitted with a common XLR port. Because of that robust build, good fit in the hand, plus ideal audio profile, these remain wildly popular with
blues harp musicians
.
A brand new
high-quality 10' cable (male XLR to 1/4" phono plug) is included
.
