Simply remove your existing harddrive and check you can turn on radio channel and run dvd movie/music. If radio works without Harddrive, then, your Radio is confirmed working and this RER harddrive could work on your radio.
    This is an used OEM Automotive 30GB Harddrive with MyGig RER sofotware OS. It contains a 2018 Map Update. It is an automotive drive which means the drive can operate in Winter at low temperatures
    .
    You buy this harddrive to replace your faulty Harddrive or simply update North American map.
    This Harddrive works only on MyGiG RER head unit. Make sure you verify your MyGig with the print RER display in faceplate next to AUX jack at the lower right corner.

    Please note Application 2.404 is the latest Mygig firmware. It does not come with Harddrive. You can update your firmware separately if version is below 2.4xx. The firmware is in public domain. I think that you need to download it from reputable websites and burn it to cd and install it. Be sure to match RER mygig model and carefully follow update procedure to avoid damaging the unit.
