I tested it very briefly, and it does work. The cord will need replacing. Since I did not solder a new plug onto the existing cord, and the connection I made was very tenuous, the signal I got was noisy; but it was clear.
The mic is designed to be mounted on the type of desk stand that has small rubber feet that elevate the base 1/4" or so above the table top; the cord runs under the stand and out along the desk. The brass stand tube screws off to accept a Turner adapter that has a hole in the side: this routes the cord out the side of the tube rather than through the bottom to use the mic with a typical telescoping stand for studio or stage. To the same end, and at no cost, I'd merely drill a hole in the side wall of the existing tube. The tube is removable entirely to use the mic for harp.
