    Description

Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome
    .
You are looking at a 1950's era Electro Voice 666 model Dynamic Super Cardioid microphone with Multi Impedance but currently this mic is non-working. The 666 was a very high quality, expensive mic for it's day and was perfect for singing and broadcasting as it was intended.
Pic # 2 is from a 1950's catalog I have showing the 666 mics basic specs and characteristics.
These 664 / 666 series mics are basically bullet proof. The original 664 model mic was called the "Buchanon Hammer" as salesman would demonstrate it's toughness by hammering a nail into a wood board then showing how the mic still worked perfectly without issue.
That being said again, this 666 no longer works but comes with the period mic clip shown.
This mic should be used only for prop, display or repair purposes only.
This 666 was first introduced in the early 1950's being one of the finest dynamic cardioid mics a person could buy. This is the early example with the round front chrome grille and all metal clip.
As you can see in the pictures provided this mic is in decent cosmetic condition having typical heavier wear as seen in pictures provided. The painted stock finish has several heavier scuff marks and quite a few small paint chips and scratches. There are zero dents or fractures however. The mesh grill looks new with zero deformation, odors or discoloration.
The 666R red label is partially missing. I'd rate the physical condition a true 5 + on a scale of 1 - 10.
The period mic clip shows the same amount of wear. It grips the mic nicely and provides plenty of tension to get the angle needed and it's adjustable. The threads for the stand are perfect as well. You'll notice there is an AD-1 mic clip adapter so that you may mount this mic clip on any stand.
Let the pics be your guide please. Mic is solid with no loose or missing parts.
If you need a good prop mic for a fraction of the price of a working 666 this will do the job.
MICROPHONE STAND SHOWN IS NOT PART OF THIS SALE...FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY.
As with all my other vintage microphones...
I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not...I have a no hassle return policy.
