You are bidding on an Asante "MacRING" token ring network interface for vintage Apple Macintosh IIsi or SE/30 computers.
Token Ring is a network protocol that was developed by IBM before the days of Ethernet and used on their mainframe computers.  Asante made many different kinds of network interface cards for Macintosh computers, so naturally they built ones to let Macs join token ring networks.
This particular card fits both Macintosh IIsi and SE/30 vintage computers.  Chances are you won't find a token ring network to join with your SE/30 using this card. because token ring has been virually entirely replaced by Ethernet these days.  But this rare card still sealed in its original Asante shrinkwrap would make a dandy addition to your vintage Mac collection.
