Vintage Broadcast Electronics BE FM-601 Stereo limiter/AGC #937-0601

Description

This is a rather advanced (for its time) analog stereophonic audio processor designed for program audio. I believe it runs a proprietary gate circuit and VCA circuitry to achieve its particular brand of compression, expansion, and limiting. Output and input both are transformer balanced at nominal 600 ohms.
The tricky (and hard-to-find) 24-pin Cinch mating connector was an unusual design choice, but included is a used plug with some preexisting wiring (I make no guarantee on the wiring; just remove it and create new leads for your project) The pinout for ins, outs, ground, 25/75-mu pre-emphasis, gate, etc. are all listed in a diagram near the back of the manual; the November 1986 printing of the original manual is included in this sale.
NOTE this unit can operate on 105-125V or 210-230V, so many global voltage sources are compatible.
